Knowledge Article 9907:
SellFolio fails to restart when I choose a new button library or font

Applicability: SellFolio 4.0 Complete only

_________________________________________________

Explanation

In SellFolio 4.0 Complete, when a new button library or font is chosen, the software needs to restart.  On some users' systems, Windows prevents the restart process from occurring, for security-related reasons.  In other words, this issue is caused by Windows, and is not an "error" that is due to something that SellFolio is doing.

Solution

1) Open My Computer, and browse for the C:\Program Files\SellFolio V4 Complete folder (on some systems, the path will be C:\Program Files (x86)\SellFolio V4 Complete).

2) RIGHT-click on builder.exe.

3) Click Properties > Compatibility tab and check the checkbox labeled "Run As Administrator."  Click OK.

4) RIGHT-click on restarter.exe.

5) Click Properties > Compatibility tab and check the checkbox labeled "Run As Administrator."  Click OK.

6) Start SellFolio normally.

NOTE: The first time you use SellFolio after these steps, or the first time the Restarter activates after these steps, Windows may prompt you to allow these applications to run.  This is a normal security check by Windows, and you should allow them in order to proceed.

Alternatively, you can use the Windows Taskbar to close the Restarter application, and then re-open SellFolio 4.0 Complete.  This process accomplishes the same thing that the Restarter application is trying to accomplish.
