 Knowledge Article 0503:
When I log in, I get an error: "XceedFtp.dll or one of its
dependencies is not registered: a file is missing or is invalid."
_________________________________________________
Explanation 1
This message can appear in Windows Vista. The issue is that
Vista's "User Account Control" has prevented a certain file,
XceedFtp.dll, from registering on your system.
Solution 1
Please follow these instructions:
-
To disable User Account Control, open Control Panel.
-
Under User Account and Family settings click on the "Add or remove
user account".
-
Click on one of the user accounts, for example you can use the Guest
account.
-
Under the user account click on the "Go to the main User Account
page" link.
-
Under "Make changes to your user account" click on the "Change
security settings" link.
-
In the "Turn on User Account Control (UAC) to make your computer
more secure" click to unselect the "Use User Account Control (UAC)
to help protect your computer". Click on the Ok button.
-
You will be prompted to reboot your computer. Do so when
ready.
-
Choose Start > and in the Search window, type Run.
-
Enter the following:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\SellFolio V4 Complete\XceedFtp.dll"
You'll know that the file registered if you get a "success" message
telling you so.
-
In order to re-enable UAC just retrace the earlier steps and select
the UAC checkbox and reboot.
-
Open SellFolio Builder and, in the Upload Manager, try to log-into
ViewWork.Com using your account info.
