 Knowledge Article 0305:
Why doesn't my .FLV video play when I upload my project to my web
server?

Explanation 1
Your server or web hosting service might be running an operating
system that does not permit video to run via the Flash Player.
Check with your webhosting company to find out if another operating
system is available for your webhosting package. For instance,
if your webhosting package is running from a Windows server, check
to see if your webhosting package can be switched to a Linux or Unix
server.
Explanation 2
Your server or web hosting service must permit video to 1) be

Check with your server or web hosting service to ensure that
"streaming" or "progressive downloading" is permitted. Again,
they might use "progressive downloading" interchangeably with
"streaming." If they don't permit "progressive downloading" or
"streaming," then your .FLV video won't play. Below is a list
of web hosting companies that don't allow "progressive downloading"
or "streaming:"
