Knowledge Article 0101:
How do I upload a SellFolio to my own website?
Applicability: SellFolio
4.0 Complete and SellFolio 3.0 versions (SellFolio 3.0 projects are
located in the C:\SellFolios folder)
If you want to subscribe to our ViewWork
hosting: SellFolio's
ViewWork.Com hosting enables you to upload your projects to the
Web for very low cost, and with one-click uploads. It makes
everything easy. If you already have a website, all you have
to do is make links to your ViewWork-hosted projects.
If you want to upload projects to your own
website: If you wish to upload your projects to your own
website, you'll need an FTP program (there are many free or low-cost
FTP programs available for download. Simply perform a search
on the Internet for "FTP program"). You'll also need to know
how to use that FTP program, as SellFolio LLC does not provide tech
support for such products.
Either view the following tutorial (be sure to turn on your speakers if
required), and upload your project as-shown:

... or follow these guidelines for uploading
your SellFolio projects using a third-party FTP program:
-
Your SellFolio projects can be found in the following folders on
your hard drive:
C:
\SellFolios_V4
\<yourProjectName>
\Bin
<--this is where your project files are
\images
<--this is where your project files are
-
Make a remote folder (i.e., on the server),
and name that folder so that it reflects the name of the SellFolio
project. Upload the contents of your local "Bin" folder into that remote
folder.
*** NOTE: You don't have to upload the file called "launch.exe" ***
-
Make a remote "images" subfolder. Upload
the contents of your local "Images" folder into the remote "images"
subfolder.
*** NOTE: the remote "images" folder MUST be all lowercase (i.e., it
must be "images," not "Images) ***
-
When you upload your files, ALL filenames MUST
have their original capitalization, as found on your local hard
drive (i.e., be sure that your FTP program does not convert
everything to lowercase).
-
The file you need to launch is
<yourPath>/sellfolio.html
EXAMPLE:
Let's say that this is your website:
http://www.a1realestate.com
You then made remote subfolders,
"123anystreethouse," and "images", so that your remote
folder structure is:
http://www.a1realestate.com
/123anystreethouse
/images
Let's say that this is your local project:
C:
\SellFolios_V4
\123 Anystreet House
\Bin
\images
Upload the contents of your local Bin folder...
C:\SellFolios_V4\123 Anystreet house\Bin
... to your remote folder ...
http://www.a1realestate.com/123anystreethouse/
... and upload the contents of your local images folder ...
C:\SellFolios_V4\123 Anystreet
house\Bin\images
... to your remote images folder ...
http://www.a1realestate.com/123anystreethouse/images/
Thus, this is the web address you'd type into
your web browser to view your project after uploading it:
http://www.a1realestate.com/123anystreethouse/sellfolio.html
